army innovation day 2023

AID provides the opportunity for industry, academia and defence to harness innovative approaches and concepts. AID is hosted by the Robotic and Autonomous Systems Implementation & Coordination Office (RICO), in partnership with Defence Innovation Hub.

Emerging and disruptive technology is demanding innovative approaches to increase Army’s capacity, introduce and challenge concepts, and deliver cutting-edge capabilities to our soldiers.

Army Innovation Day (AID) is a flagship event showcasing Australian Defence Industry and academia's ability to use innovative concepts to address capability gaps and grow the project pipeline.

Annually, The Department of Defence, in partnership with Defence Innovation Hub and Australian Army, calls on Australian Industry and academia to pitch innovative solutions to a capability challenge statement. The most innovative solutions will be selected for contract discussions with Defence and invited to exhibit at AID 2023.
