About the LEWG

The purpose of the event is to update Defence industry on land capability priorities and investment plans, as well as work in a collaborative environment on current and future capability challenges.

This is your opportunity to engage direct with Army and provide early input and feedback on land capability planning.

The LEWG is chaired by Head Land Capability (HLC) MAJGEN Richard Vaag, with three industry co-chairs, Industry Prime Dean Michi, Hanwha Defense Australia; SME Industry co-chair Amanda Holt, Sypaq; and Industry Association Adviser Kate Louis, Australian Industry Group. Professor Peter Dean will be this year’s Master of Ceremonies.

Day one of the LEWG will be held at Hotel Realm at an UNCLASSIFIED level. The agenda includes plenary sessions and deep dive working groups hosted by LCD programs.

Day two of the LEWG will be held at HMAS Harman, and will be a series of CLASSIFIED working group sessions. Attendees must hold a valid Negative Vetting 1 security clearance or higher and must attend day one of the LEWG to be eligible to attend. The day two agenda will be released shortly.
